The rum of the middle of the world

There is a secret that belongs to all Ecuadorians, and that fills us with pride. Initially from a place in the Valle del Paute, province of Azuay, next to the chapel of the Archangel San Miguel, but over the years it has transcended the borders between Costa and Sierra, between Ecuador and the world. In the city of Cuenca, Cultural Heritage of Humanity, lies the only Cava in Ecuador, an imposing and magical place where the first liquor industry in the country was installed and the patience of time has stored millions of liters of the best Rum in oak barrels: San Miguel Rum.

Ron San Miguel currently has a cellar at 2,538 meters above sea level where it naturally ages its rums in American oak barrels. Ron San Miguel is exported to Colombia, Chile, the United States, Canada, and Europe. It is the only rum from the South Pacific that has been cited and evaluated in the book “RUM” written by one of the most prestigious Rum researchers in the world, David Broom; where Ron San Miguel receives a higher evaluation than leading brands in the Caribbean, attesting to its quality and the respectful natural process that our rum masters, Master Blenders, make a reality with their experience.
