Fine Dominican rum
Patridom is a premium rum series showcasing authentic, fine rums from the Dominican Republic, as it is fermented, distilled and matured in the Dominican Republic. The rum is produced by Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos who cultivate their own sugarcanes, making sure the rum consists of crops purely from the Dominican Republic. Due to a shift in production, A.F.D only uses fresh sugar cane juice for its rum production today. meaning that eventually all aged rums will be made from fresh sugar cane juice in the future. The rums are distilled in modern multicolumn stills and mature in American and French oak barrels in the tropical climate of the Dominican Republic.
Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos is the largest producer of alcohol in the Dominican Republic, and thereby the company plays a significant role in the community, securing work for hundreds of locals. The modern company supports its employees as well as the local community with educational trainings and charity projects.
Tasting notes:
Nose: A sweet & sour note combined with hints of coconut and beeswax.
Palate: Full-bodied with an oily texture. Rum raisins paired with dark chocolate, adding a contrasting bitter finish.
5 stars is well rated. Nice rum but a little to much alcohol.
Good smell, perfect taste, but rum is too strong for fully enjoining.

Après une première gorgée pour absorber les 65 degrés d’alcool, la deuxième est généreuse, fruitée et tiens un long moment en bouche. Très bon rhum que je ne connaissais pas. A découvrir donc !!

Stärker Rum. Aber so wie Whisky hilft es dem Rum mit 1ml Wasser das Aroma besser zu entfalten und auch etwas leichter und bekömmlich zu genießen.

Au nez il est bien équilibré, j’ai identifié la coco mais je n’arrivais pas à identifié le deuxième. Merci pour la description ça m’aidera dans le futur. Au goût, il est aussi bien équilibré avec la rondeur du raisin et l’amertume un peu cacao. Le final citrus est surprenant. Un peu trop d’alcool pour moi pour pleinement le savourer. Je lui met un 3+ car il a son originalité
